If it says the code was invalid, then the default failed to go through. If the system displays "Enter Section", then the factory default was successful. The screen will display "Enter Your Installers Code". It the default failed, repeat the process and try again.Īn easy way to check if the default went through is to try using the default Installer Code to access programming. If it has, reconnect the backup battery, and close the panel. Check and confirm that the system has been restored to its factory default settings. This should factory default the system.Ĥ. Then unplug the transformer to power the system back down. Plug in the AC transformer to power the system back on. These inputs are shown in the picture below:ģ. Connect a jumper between inputs IO1 and IO2. Then unplug the AC transformer from the wall outlet. Disconnect the backup battery by unplugging it. Then carefully separate the front of the panel from the back. To do this, use a small screwdriver to press in the two bottom tabs on the front of the panel. Plug the cable attached to the battery into the same plug-in on the board that the old battery was using. Slide the new battery into the place of the old one. Complete the following steps to change the battery in your DSC Impassa:ġ. It is necessary to replace the backup battery in a DSC Impassa every few years. You can change the battery in your DSC Impassa by opening up the system, unplugging the old battery, unscrewing the battery tab, pulling out the battery, inserting the new one, reapplying the battery tab, plugging in the new battery and finally closing the DSC Impassa Alarm System.
